🕐 What’s the billing period?

Our billing period is calculated in 24-hour increments.
For example, if you pick up your car at 10:00 AM, please return it by 10:00 AM on your due date to avoid additional charges. We offer flexible extensions if you’d like to keep your vehicle longer.

🛡️ Do I have to pay for insurance?

Yes. Third-Party Insurance (TPI) is mandatory under Jamaican law, even if your credit card includes rental car coverage.
We also recommend Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Full Coverage Insurance for additional protection during your trip.

🚨 What should I do if there’s an accident?

If an accident occurs:

1. Dial 119 immediately for emergency assistance (police or ambulance).

2. Contact Ways Car Rental right away at +1-876-339-9388 or +1-876-282-3304.

We provide roadside assistance within the Montego Bay coastal region, covering areas between Lucea and Falmouth. In some cases, we can deliver a replacement vehicle to your location so your journey continues smoothly.

💵 What about taxes?

Jamaica’s General Consumption Tax (GCT) is 15% and is clearly displayed on your booking summary.
There are no hidden fees — transparency is part of our promise.

🌞 Are your vehicles tinted?

Some vehicles feature factory or lightly tinted windows, while others are non-tinted.
If you prefer one or the other, simply mention it in the “Notes” section when booking online, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

🚗 Are your rental cars new or used?

Most vehicles in our fleet are three years old or newer, and all are carefully inspected and maintained for safety, reliability, and comfort.

✈️ Pickup & Drop-Off Services

Do you offer pickup at Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA)?

Currently, NMIA pickups are available only for regular or returning customers. Please contact us to check eligibility before booking.

Do you offer pickup/drop-off in Negril or Ocho Rios?

Our free VIP airport pickup service covers the Montego Bay coastal region, including:

• Falmouth (≈ 30 km east of Sangster International Airport – MBJ)

• Lucea (≈ 40 km west of MBJ)

⛽ Rental Terms & Fuel Policy

Do I have to pay for gas?

Yes. All rentals come with a full tank of fuel.
Please return the car with a full tank to avoid refueling charges and service fees.

Will I get a refund if I return the car early?

Ways Car Rental Jamaica does not provide cash refunds for unused rental days.
However, we may offer a rental credit (equal to the unused days) at our discretion.
This credit:

• Expires in 365 days

• Cannot be transferred to another driver

Can I request a manual transmission vehicle?

All our rental cars are automatic transmission for ease of driving in Jamaica’s traffic and terrain.
If you prefer higher performance, we recommend choosing one of our SUV or premium models.
